We are Romy, Tamsin, and Lara, a mother-and-daughters trio. Trill is a joint project born of our shared belief in the healing power of nature. Romy has spent her life championing the use of plants and herbs for health, and growing collaborative communities rooted in sustainable living and working.

Tamsin - a designer, and Lara - an aromatherapist, have worked alongside Romy, soaking up this knowledge and way of life since childhood. Today, we share our skills, knowledge and ideas to breathe life into this project.

After founding Neal’s Yard Remedies in 1981, Romy sold the business and started Trill Farm in 2006, with the ambition of defining a natural, progressive approach to education. Over the course of 14 years, we created a sustainable community of like-minded businesses, united by a love of the land. From developing educational programmes and running festivals to organic farming and handmaking hundreds of products, Trill Farm taught our family a lot about living with the land.

We sold Trill Farm in 2020, keeping a wild patch of 30 acres of woodland, scrub and meadow. This formed the foundation for the next chapter in our story, Trill on the Hill.
