Fitzgerald Blanket
Made using the wool from our flock of our much loved Gotland sheep. For the last year we have been designing and developing these very special blankets. They have a lightly brushed finish which gives a gorgeous soft feel and added warmth on chilly days.
A lot of love, care, time and craft has gone into each and every blanket. Our Gotland sheep are reared and sheared on our land, the wool is spun in Cornwall and they are woven in Bristol at the renowned Bristol Weaving Mill. We have added a bit of colour with some British wool to add contrast to the designs - all reared and processed in the UK. These blankets couldn’t be more local, even the labels were printed in Wales.
Our flock of Gotland sheep is small and therefore so is the amount of blankets we can make so when they’re gone they’re gone. We won't make the same blankets twice so these are one offs.
We’ve named the blankets after our two favourite ewes - the leaders of the flock, Snowflake and Fitzgerald. Snowflake is the grandmother of the flock who hasn’t lambed for three years but she is a brilliant leader and teacher for the new lambs - she keeps everyone in order. Fitzgerald was a lockdown lamb and is another leader in the flock with a very friendly and calm character. They both love a cuddle so it only seemed fitting to call our blankets after them, after all they did help to make them.
